Terms of service

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
• Use an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• An account is for one person.

2. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and campaign notes are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them, and to send them to the services listed in our privacy policy, only to run DnD Scribe for you and the people you share a campaign with. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups, which expire as the privacy policy describes.

3. Everyone recorded must agree

You may upload a recording only if everyone in it has agreed to being recorded and to the recording being uploaded to DnD Scribe. Recording laws differ between places, and some require the consent of everyone in a conversation. You are responsible for following the law where you and the people you record are.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use DnD Scribe to:

• upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to upload;
• record or upload people without their agreement;
• access other people's accounts or data, or try to get around the service's security or limits;
• overload, disrupt, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
• resell the service, or access it by automated means other than the app itself.

5. Prices

• Uploading a recording costs the price per hour of recording shown on the pricing page, billed per started minute.
• You see a recording's length and price before it uploads, and a recording keeps the price it was uploaded at.
• Recordings that fail to process are not charged.
• We may change prices for future uploads. The pricing page will show a new price before it applies.

6. Limits

Each account has monthly limits on how much it can transcribe and analyse, shown on the Account page. We may change them to keep the service fair and running.

7. Notes written by software

Transcripts and campaign notes are produced automatically, partly by AI, and can contain mistakes or leave things out. Check anything that matters before relying on it.

8. The service

We work to keep DnD Scribe running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change or stop features, and we will give notice when a change takes away something you rely on.

9. Ending

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update this page and its date. If a change is significant, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
